Hands Alive Puppet Theatre is a travelling puppet show, that has performed in many Childcares, Kindys, Libraries, Schools, Elderly homes, Shopping malls, entertaining children all over Auckland!
Christine began Hands Alive in 1993 before having her 4 children.
Christine trained as an early childhood teacher at Kindercare Learning Centres and taught preschoolers for four years. After 10 years, as the demands of family life grew with the birth of a third child, Christine took some time out from the kid's entertainment business and gave the puppets a well earned rest!
In 2011, Christine launched out once again and Hands Alive had its first website designed by her husband David. Along with fresh input from the rest of the family, some new scripts were written and vibrant sound tracks were added.
As the passion for puppetry continued to grow, along with her desire to help families, Christine and her family produced their first DVD, 'Helping at Home'. This has become a valuable resource with parents now testifying how their children have become more motivated to help with the family chores!
Now her children have grown up Christine is back on the road entertaining and teaching the art of puppetry!
